Merry Christmas, Beloveds!

Regardless of your religious beliefs and the holy days (translation of holiday) you celebrate, this is a magical time of year.   Most cultures have some type of holy day around this time of year, Winter Solstice, when we transition from the darkest time of year – the longest nights – to lengthening days again. It is a time to celebrate the Birth of the Sun and the spark in the dark.

Many people have forgotten what this season is really about – the power within.

Winter is the fallow time of year. It is cold and nature is at rest. Mother Earth invites us to take the time to reflect, go within, and rejuvenate.

This is the time of year to remember the possibilities in the darkness. Beneath the ground, the seeds are incubating. All things visible and tangible usher forth from the invisible realm.

This is the time of year to remember the immense potential within you. Your power does not lie in outside circumstances, conditions, or expectations from others. Your power is beyond words and the exterior world.

The symbols of this time of year are meant to remind us of our power to grow, deepen our knowledge, and broaden the scope of what we previously thought possible.

For example, the Christmas tree is a symbol of new life and growth. The Christmas lights are an electric version of the earlier candles used this time of year to celebrate a light in the dark and warmth in the cold. The “Christmas colors” of green and red come from this same symbolism – red for fire and green for new growth/abundance.

You possess your own fire within.

It is the unmanifest, the still, quiet, silent space that you must turn to for power.

The word Christ means the anointed one. Anointing is an act that marks something or someone as sacred. So, Christmas is a time to reflect upon your own divinity – your magical power to create the life of your dreams.

Do not let the mediocrity of the masses muddle your vision.

Hold true to your purpose.

On this Christmas day, take a moment to consider what you wish to create as the Earth warms up in the coming months.

What is your main goal?

I remember Father Alvin Johnson (a great Episcopal priest) saying in church when we were kids “keep the main thing, the main thing, the main thing.” He was talking about God and keeping God the main focus in one’s life.

I, personally, do not follow any one particular religion. But, I have learned to keep Spirituality/My Inner Vision the “main thing” and from there all things flow.

My main vision and guidance in life comes from the divine/spirit/reflection.

On this magical day, take a moment to tap into your power as a Creator.

Let your “main thing” bubble up in your heart for a few minutes, vision it, feel into it, and make commitments to bring it to fruition with a set of daily actions.

Merry Christmas – may the magic of the moment remind you of your divinity and power to create.

With love and gratitude,

Charlotte
