Embodied Love: Veganism as a New Paradigm of Relationship
This presentation will explore how a vegan ethic is the foundation for self-love, healing relations between the sexes, kindness to others, social justice, and global harmony.
Learn how you can
- enhance your sense of self-love
- experience more pleasure on a daily basis
- feel connected to nature
- dispel feelings of disconnection and separation from the divine
- increase your energy, vitality, and joy
The use of animals for food and other products is the most heavily ingrained practice of institutionalized violence. We learn to think of animals as ‘something’ instead of ‘someone’ and this creates a disconnect from our innate love and compassion. Eating animals is the first time we learn as children that ‘might makes right.’ And, this numbing out from our natural compassion seeps into all other areas of our lives.
Join us for this powerful discussion and learn how to return to wholeness as individuals and as a global humanity. Healing our relationship to other-than-human animals can heal your body and the planet. Shifting the way we look at animals has radical potential to shift the way we relate with ourselves and with other humans. Learn about the real power each individual has to manifest a revolution of love and create a peaceful world for all beings.
About Our Speaker:
Charlotte Cressey is an animal liberation activist and educator, ecofeminist, creator of Earth Energy Yoga®, a certified Chopra Center Meditation Instructor, lover of life, and enthusiast for the many benefits of a vegan lifestyle. Charlotte’s passion for helping animals began at the young age of 3 when she learned the flesh on her plate was once a living being. Since that young age, she has been seeking to understand why a culture that prizes love and compassion inflicts the most violence on those most at our mercy – animals. She has since discovered the varied and pervasive manifestations of the ‘might makes right mentality’, which originates with the fallacy that we have to eat our friends – the animals. Her goal is to help us become aware of this limiting belief so we may free ourselves of it, heal our relation to other beings, and so we may all enjoy a happier existence.
Charlotte believes in the revolutionary power of love and the innate kindness of the human heart. She views veganism and treating all animals with respect as the foundation of a larger goal to create a peaceful, harmonious existence for humans, animals, and the Earth. Her yoga, meditation, and wellness offerings are designed to help each individual become happy, healthy, and a beneficial presence on the planet. Her presentations are designed to inspire, uplift, and upset the dominant paradigm so we can step into our full power as loving, radiant, self-actualized human beings.
